AXIS Champ Ori delivers a major advancement in core orientation technology by integrating the measurement technology directly into the standard hardware used by drilling teams to retrieve core globally, Orica explains. For drill crews, this eliminates the need to hold extra hardware and significantly reduces manual handling; while for geologists, the integrated hardware design has been shown to deliver more successful measurements than previously available designs.
Manufactured at Orica Digital Solutions’ Axis Mining Technology facility in Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire, UK, the milestone reflects years of innovation, engineering excellence and customer trust, according to the company. The achievement underscores the important role the team continues to play in supporting exploration and mining operations around the world with reliable orebody intelligence technologies.
