Orica has announced the launch of GEOExplorerIQ™, a cloud-native geotechnical intelligence platform that brings geotechnical monitoring data together in one environment, helping customers detect change earlier and make more informed decisions.
As monitoring programs expand across surface, subsurface and remote sensing technologies, geotechnical teams are managing growing volumes of data across separate systems, platforms and workflows. GEOExplorerIQ brings monitoring data, analytics and workflows into one environment, giving teams greater visibility of changing ground and asset conditions and supporting more informed decisions.
Built within the ODS platform, a secure cloud-native ecosystem, GEOExplorerIQ is designed to progressively connect technologies across the Orica Digital Solutions’ Geosolutions portfolio, including GroundProbe, NavStar, Measurand, RST Instruments, Syscom Instruments and 3vGeomatics and selected third-party systems, creating a unified source of truth for geotechnical monitoring and risk management, the company says.
Orica Digital Solutions Head of Software Product and Development, Matthew Craft, said: “GEOExplorerIQ brings monitoring data, analytics and workflows together to provide a unified view across surface, subsurface and remote sensing technologies. By turning data into meaningful insights, customers can identify change earlier, reduce uncertainty and make more informed decisions with confidence.”
The platform enables users to connect and compare monitoring datasets, visualise trends, manage alerts and events, and support reporting workflows. This provides teams with a more complete view of changing ground and asset conditions.
Designed for enterprise-scale operations, GEOExplorerIQ supports a broad range of applications across mining, infrastructure and energy environments.
For mining operations, the platform enables continuous monitoring from active operations through to long-term slope and asset stability programs, helping teams better understand changing ground conditions and proactively manage risk.
For infrastructure projects, GEOExplorerIQ combines subsurface, surface and satellite monitoring data to provide a continuous view of asset performance and regional ground movement, supporting earlier identification of trends and more informed project decision making, the company says.
Built on Microsoft Azure infrastructure and aligned with ISO 27001-certified security standards, GEOExplorerIQ provides organisations with a secure and scalable foundation for monitoring operations, collaboration and data management.
Orica Digital Solutions President and Chief Technology Officer, Angus Melbourne, said: “GEOExplorerIQ advances Orica’s strategy to create an open, secure and connected digital ecosystem for customers. The future of geotechnical monitoring is not individual technologies working in isolation. GEOExplorerIQ brings monitoring technologies, data and workflows together, helping customers understand changing conditions, anticipate risk and respond with greater confidence.”
